has been working with glass since the 1980s and has exhibited his work both nationally and internationally. He was a guest lecturer at the Institute for Artistic Ceramics and Glass in Höhr-Grenzhausen and has taught glass workshops in various European countries and at various art academies. His works in public spaces and private collections include, for example, De laatste Blik" from 2011. A monument at the train station in Bad Nieuweschans commemorating the Holocaust. He lived and worked in Groningen (NL). In 2022, he received the art prize at GLASPLASTIK UND GARTEN for his artwork Ewige Mühlen? (Eternal Mills).
Hein van de Water passed away in June 2025 after a serious illness. His works were therefore exhibited for GLASPLASTIK UND GARTEN 2025 by his wife Jakobine von Dömming and his gallery owner.
